An eminent figure in the international Spanish film-Tv scene, Geraldine Gonard, in 2016, founded and is the General Director of “INSIDE CONTENT”, a company specialized in organizing events of the audiovisual industry, providing consulting services and distributing worldwide audiovisual content.
Having 23 years of experience in both national and international audiovisual sector, in acquisition, sales and search for financing of audiovisual work, Geraldine manages and controls the company’s accounts, directs and supervises activities and plays a key role in organizing events in the audiovisual sector. In addition she handles pre-sales and national and international sales of audiovisual works and offers advice on market research and search for financing for co-production projects of television series, telefilms, films and documentaries via public aid, tax incentives, and private investors.
Geraldine is a degree holder in Business Studies from the INSEEC Business School, Bordeaux, France and she graduated with a Masters degree in International Management from IAE Bordeaux France. Thereafter she started working in Spain in 1997 as a Sales Executive for SOGEPAQ (SOGECABLE GROUP) which is a national and international distributor of audiovisual rights.
In 2001, she joined GRUPO PI (GRUPO PRODUCTORES INDEPENDIENTES) which is an international audiovisual distributor which was created by four of the major independent Spanish producers. 3 years after working there as Sales Director, she was made the Managing Director of GRUPO PI in 2004. Subsequently she worked as General Director at GRUPO PI from Nov 2004 to Dec 2006.
From 2007 to 2011 Geraldine worked as the Sales and Development Director at IMAGINA INTERNATIONAL SALES (IMAGINA Group), Madrid, another national and international distributor of audiovisual rights. In 2012 she was appointed as the Operations Director and in 2015 as the General Director.
Geraldine’s financing, co-production and pre-sales company, “INSIDE CONTENT” which focuses on content from Latin markets & Europe, is based out of Madrid. “Scripted TV is a hugely active sector. The film sector is increasingly moving into TV series production. It’s a great moment to be in the business” stated the French-born and Madrid based Founder and Director of ÍNSIDE CONTENT. The company which focuses primarily but not exclusively on scripted TV made its first move by taking world sales rights to “The Night My Mother Killed My Father,” the 2016 comedy film directed by Inés Paris.
Gonard also organizes each year, the event called “Conecta FICTION”, which is a networking and co-production event in Spain including professionals from America and Europe whose main objective is to promote the production of fiction and ONSeries which is the first Portuguese event focused on TV series. The event includes a list of professionals including Producers, investors, distributors, scriptwriters and representatives of OTT channels and platforms not only Spain and her native France but Europe and Latin America. In 2020 collaborating with Luis Collar, producer and founding partner of THE CIRCULAR GROUP, she launched the international sales agency FEEL CONTENT, which targets not only Spanish language films but feature films from rest of Europe.
